The "Security and optimization of strategic infrastructures 4.0" Competency Center has been approved - START 4.0

The project, coordinated by CNR, with the involvement of IIT, the Liguria Region, the Port System Authorities, Unioncamere and the Confindustria Digital Innovation Hub, with the collaboration of RINA and the participation of Ansaldo Energia, Ansaldo STS, ABB, Cetena, IREN, Leonardo, Softeco and several SMEs, is among the 8 Competence Centers that have been selected by the Ministry of Economic Development to obtain funding in the context of Industry 4.0.

Project meetings @SPIN

Project meetings @SPIN

The 26th and 27th of March will be held at the SPIN headquarters in Genoa two project meetings: 1) Study of superconducting Tl (1223) coatings for beam impedance mitigation in the FCC and, 2) EuroFusion: enabling technologies. OEAW-03 Alternative HTS wires project. There will be the participation of the involved SPIN researchers and colleagues from the University of Wien, CERN and ENEA.

The 2018 Europhysics Prize is awarded to Lucio Braicovich and Giacomo Claudio Ghiringhelli

Giacomo Ghiringhelli and Lucio Braicovich from Politecnico di Milano, were awarded the 2018 Europhysics Prize of the Condensed Matter Division of the European Physical Society (EPS), for their groundbreaking work for the development and scientific exploration of high-resolution resonant inelastic X-ray scattering (RIXS).
