ANVUR has definitely approved the new Ph. D. Program on Quantum Technologies as proposed by the University of Naples Federico II (Coordinator Prof. Francesco Tafuri) in collaboration with the University of Camerino and CNR.
On May 23th and 24th the final exposition of the 2018 Alternanza Scuola Lavoro titled 'A Scuola di Astroparticelle', organized by the INFN Unit, the "E. Pancini" Physics Department and the CNR Institutes SPIN and ISASI of Napoli, will be held at the University of Napoli Federico II (Centri Comuni, Complesso di Monte Sant'Angelo, Napoli).
A fruitful collaboration among several CNR institutes (including CNR-SPIN Chieti in charge for the theory part) resulted in the May 2018 Cover of the scientific journal Nano Letters (Impact Factor = 12.712) devoted to “Ferroelectric Control of the Spin Texture in GeTe”,

The 26th and 27th of March will be held at the SPIN headquarters in Genoa two project meetings: 1) Study of superconducting Tl (1223) coatings for beam impedance mitigation in the FCC and, 2) EuroFusion: enabling technologies. OEAW-03 Alternative HTS wires project. There will be the participation of the involved SPIN researchers and colleagues from the University of Wien, CERN and ENEA.
The 2018 Europhysics Prize is awarded to Lucio Braicovich and Giacomo Claudio Ghiringhelli
Giacomo Ghiringhelli and Lucio Braicovich from Politecnico di Milano, were awarded the 2018 Europhysics Prize of the Condensed Matter Division of the European Physical Society (EPS), for their groundbreaking work for the development and scientific exploration of high-resolution resonant inelastic X-ray scattering (RIXS).
OSS2018 - Oxide Superconducting Spintronics Workshop 2018
