International Workshop “Quantum materials, novel phases of matter and transport phenomena”

The workshop has been successfully held in Salerno on June 21st 2024 within the framework of the bilateral Italy – South Korea project MAP. The event has been organized by the Institute SPIN-CNR and the Department of Physics of University of Salerno.

Its purpose was to bring together project members along with leading scientists to jointly discuss and exchange knowledge in the field of quantum materials, novel phases of matter and transport phenomena in normal conditions, or under strain and doping.

Invited Speakers:

  • Izabella Biało - University of Zurich, Switzerland
  • Bernd Büchner - IFW Dresden, Germany
  • Roberta Citro - University of Salerno, Italy
  • Mario Cuoco - CNR-SPIN Salerno, Italy
  • Philip Hofmann - Aarhus University, Denmark
  • Yeongkwang Kim - KAIST, Republic of Korea
  • Albert Liu - Brookhaven National Laboratory, USA
  • Fabio Miletto Granozio - CNR-SPIN Naples, Italy
  • Carmine Ortix - University of Salerno, Italy
  • Peter Wahl - University of St Andrews, UK
  • Dirk Wulferding - Seoul National University, Republic of Korea

Details on the scientific program are reported in the e-book of abstracts (pdf).

The bilateral Italy – South Korea project MAP is a partnership between CNR-SPIN and the University of Salerno from the Italian side, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) and Seoul National University from the Korean side.
