GRIM 2023 - SPIN Director Fabio Miletto Granozio

On April 13rd, on the occasion of the annual edition of the “Italian Research Day in the World” (Giornata della Ricerca Italiana nel Mondo - GRIM), SPIN Director Fabio Miletto Granozio presented the activity of the CNR-SPIN Institute at a scientific meeting held at the Italian Embassy in Paris. The meeting was organised by the Embassy itself, and, in particular, the Scientific Attaché Dr. Marco Borra, with the collaboration of ReCIF (Rete dei Ricercatori Italiani in Francia (ReCIF) and ANRT (Association Nationale de la Recherche et de la Technologie).

The event, opened by the Italian Ambassadress Emanuela D’Alessandro and attended by speakers from both academic and industrial organizations (here the final program), was focused on the fundamental theme of energetic sustainability in our future society.  In this context, Fabio Miletto Granozio gave a perspective on the applications of superconductivity, highlighting the CNR-SPIN research. The debate following the scientific presentations outlined the importance of adopting a multilateral approach, in terms of energy sources, technological solutions and scientific-political cooperation, in order to face the challenges posed by the climate change scenarios.

On April 14th, the CNR president Maria Chiara Carrozza attended a second GRIM event always in Paris on the theme "International partnerships: opportunities for competitiveness and recovery in the era of green and digital transformation".
