Miscellaneous Information

Salvatore Amoruso is Reaserch Associate of the Institute SPIN – “Superconductors, oxides and other innovative materials and devices” of the National Research Council (CNR) from 2010.

His current position is full professor (02/B1 - Experimental Physics of Matter; FIS/01 - Experimental Physics) at the Department of Physics 'Ettore Pancini', University of Naples "Federico II". For more info visit his institutional web page at Università di Napoli "Federico II" (Webpage: www.docenti.unina.it/salvatore.amoruso).

The main scientific interests of  Salvatore Amoruso are in the field of  interaction of short (nanosecond) and ultrashort (femtosecond) laser pulses  with solid targets. In particular, his research concerns: i) study of the laser produced plasmas; ii) pulsed laser ablation and thin film deposition (PLD); iii) laser ablation with ultrashort pulses and nanoparticles generation; iv) synthesis of nanostructured materials through the nanoparticles-assembled pulsed laser deposition and characterization of the formed nanostructures; v) direct femtosecond laser surface structuring with Gaussian and Structured Optical Beams.

Salvatore Amoruso is author of more than 160 scientific articles in international journals with peer-review and in books.
