Miscellaneous Information

Massimiliano Polichetti is Associate Professor at the Department of Physics, and leads the laboratory for magnetic measurements "LAMBDA" ( 'Laboratory for Analysis of Materials Behaviour in Dc and Ac fields' ) at the University of Salerno. He got his PhD in Physics in 1997 on the study of the ac and dc magnetic properties of superconducting materials, focusing on the analysis of the vortex dynamics and pinning properties. He made research activity at the University of Salerno, with a "Visiting Fellowship" at the Imperial College London (England), at the University of Leiden (The Netherlands) and at the Slovak Academy of Sciences of Bratislava (Slovakia). Since 2001 he has been teaching courses at students in Physics, in Chemistry and in Biology. He has been member, inter alia, of the Salerno University Scientific Board, of the Quality System Committee, and of the "Dottorato" (PhD) Teaching Board. Massimiliano is member of the Editorial Board / Associate Editor of the journals “Frontiers in Materials”, “Applied Sciences”, “Frontiers in Physics / Condensed Matter Physics”, “Materials”. He is associated to the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR) and has been the Italian responsible of two International Projects for Scientific Cooperation between CNR and the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (2013-2015 and 2019-2021/22). He is External Expert for the Research Executive Agency of the European Commission, for the evaluation of projects submitted under Horizon 2020, Reviewer of scientific research projects for the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft - German Research Foundation, and External expert of the European Cooperation in Science and Technology funding agency for research and innovation networks (COST). He has research and professional experience in Condensed Matter Physics, ac and dc magnetic properties of superconductors, magnetic materials and nanoparticles, automated data acquisition systems, high field magnets, cryogenic techniques, design, realization and test of equipment for measurements of electrical and magnetic properties of materials. Massimiliano is author of approximately 150 scientific works (regular papers, book chapters and conference proceedings), and of two patents.
