Università di Genova (chairman: Prof. Mauro Giovannini), INFN, and CNR-SPIN (A. Martinelli) are organizing the 51st edition of the Journées des Actinides, which will be held in Santa Margherita Ligure (GE), April 10-14 2022.
The Journées des Actinides is an international conference series providing an informal and interdisciplinary forum for the discussion of current advances on the physical and chemical properties of actinide elements, their alloys and compounds, from fundamental to applied research.
Topics that will be covered in this annual meeting include, but are not limited to (i) strongly correlated systems, superconductivity, quantum criticality, (ii) inorganic and organometallic chemistry, (iii) materials and nanomaterials, (iv) theory and band structure, (v) actinide production and handling, (vi) safety of the nuclear fuel cycle, (vii) nuclear safeguards and security, (viii) radiation protection, (ix) environment contamination, remediation, and decommissioning.
